The Prairie Grove School District is asking you to partner with us and complete a short survey of your opinion on how we are doing during this time away from school. Your responses will assist us on what we can improve on with the content and delivery of your child's instruction. The survey will no longer take responses after 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 30th.

Reminder: We will be handing out Chromebooks this morning from 9-10:30 in front of the MS office.
We will be taking grades for the 4th nine weeks. However, it will be based on mastery of skills. This means that your student will be allowed to retake it if they fail an assignment. Students need to give their best effort to show mastery of the skills teachers assign. This is uncharted water for all of us, yet we are tasked with continuing our school year through digital learning. Work with your teachers more closely than ever before. You can email them and they will respond. We want you to succeed. Check your email and Google Classroom daily. I know it feels like school is out, but it is not. There is no reason to stress about the work, you can do it and we are here to help you. We will get through this together. Email or call Mr. Taylor with any questions or concerns.
If you are having trouble with the Chromebook staying connected to your WiFi, this is from tech. Reconnect it and it should update a new setting to override the auto connect.
There are two more Chromebook pick up times available. Today at 4:30 and Friday at 9 am. Pick up will be in front of the MS office.
We are able to distribute for round one and round two chromebooks today at the middle school cafeteria between 9-12 or 1-3.
MS Chromebooks for those who already responded with a need will be available for pick up under the cafeteria awning between 9-12 and 1-3 pm on Monday April 6th. (There will be a second run of availability for those who did not report a need earlier coming soon.)
This will be a drive up process and will not require getting out of your vehicle. Parents will sign a check-out form and receive a Chromebook through the vehicle window. If you pull up and no one is waiting outside, please call 479-846-4220 for assistance.
If this timeframe does not work for you, email Mr. Taylor (shayne.taylor@pgtigers.org) to set an appointment to pick it up.
Parents and students of the Prairie Grove School District,
Due to the closure of schools from COVID-19, the district will be in contact with those students who requested, per survey this previous week, a time and place to pick up and borrow a district Chromebook starting Monday, April 6th. These Chromebooks are the property of PGSD and are provided for the exclusive use of the students and staff. These devices will be monitored and filtered according to the school district policy. For more information, please contact your building office.
The yearbook online order option has been extended until April 15. You can order online at yearbookforever.com and search for Prairie Grove School. There will be an additional fee for using your debit/credit card. Order forms have been sent out, if you want to mail an order in, it needs to be postmarked by April 15. These can be mailed to

Here is our grading policy for the fourth quarter.
PGMS parents: Please make sure to leave a message if you have a need. The phones are all forwarded to one person right now, so if I’m on a call, I can’t take another. If you leave a message, I will return your call. If you are JH parents that still follow our page, your contact number is 479-846-4274. You can also email Shayne.taylor@pgtigers.org or message on our Facebook page.
If you have not been contacted by your student’s teacher, please call the office at 479–846–4220. Due to the abundance of phone calls, please leave a message if you can’t get through. We are trying to make contact with every student at this time to make sure that their needs are sufficiently met by us. If we have not been able to contact you, please call us so that we can touch base. Also, please have your student check their email and Google Classroom daily.
I just put more 6th grade AMI packets for days 6-10 out on the porch. I’ll be checking them to see if they need refilled regularly. Days 7-10 are this Monday - Thursday. Friday starts digital learning for AMI day 11. Teachers are trying to reach everyone about how this looks going forward. If you have any questions, contact your teacher or I can be reached by email at shayne.taylor@pgtigers.org or by calling 479-846-4220 and leave a message.
5th and 6th grade AMI packets for days 6-10 are out on the front porch now. Teachers will be contacting soon if they already haven’t about future lesson plans.
If anyone still needs a 5th grade AMI packet with days 6-10, they have been moved outside the front doors of the Middle School office. They are in a clear plastic tub to the right.
They will be checked daily to see if more need to be put out. Please make sure you get all 5 days- they are paper clipped together.
Please make sure the lid is put back on tightly.
Thank you to our wonderful Cafeteria Workers, Paraprofessionals and Bus Drivers for preparing and delivering lunches!
