The Prairie Grove Marching Band brought the classic tale of Snow White to life this season with their enchanting production, Mirror Mirror. This imaginative show portrayed the epic battle between Snow White and the Evil Queen through a captivating musical and visual experience.
The first movement, blending Britney Spears’ “Toxic” with Antonio Vivaldi’s “Winter,” highlighted the tension and drama of the story. A standout performance came from soloist Oliver Ramey on alto saxophone, whose skill brought the music to life. The second movement featured Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” showcasing the talents of low brass soloists Jacob Thueson, Asher Eastman, and Kail Arivett. The final movement concluded the story with Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me in a Crown” and “Once Upon a Dream,” leaving audiences spellbound.
This season’s show was brought to fruition under the direction of Michael Ferguson, Renee Palmore, and Tori Bingham, with choreography and leadership from Color Guard instructor Ally Holsted. On the field, Drum Major Sydnie Carlton led the band with poise and precision, supported by Color Guard Captains Hannah Creech and Delaney Ake.
The band’s hard work and creativity earned them accolades at competitions throughout the season:
