Prairie Grove High School plans to offer two separate ACT boot camp sessions to help students
prepare for the June 10th ACT exam. Here are the date and times for these sessions:
● Session #1: From May 15th to May 25th on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday
evenings from 5:00-7:30 pm.
● Session #2: From June 5th to June 8th from 9:00 AM-12:30 PM.
NOTE: Students may sign up for one session OR both sessions.
ACT Boot Camp Cost and Registration:
● The cost for each session is $50, and the cost for free and reduced lunch students is
$25. Payments for sessions are NONREFUNDABLE.
● Signups for the ACT Boot Camp will begin on Friday, April 7th.
● Signups will be first come, first serve.
● To reserve their spot, students must fill out the digital registration form (I will send this out
on Friday, April 7th) and pay the registration fee.
● Students can turn their money into Mr. Hubbard and make checks payable to Prairie
Grove High School.
Benefits of ACT Book Camp:
● Students will be able to complete a full-length ACT mock exam.
● Students will learn strategies to help them be successful on each part of the ACT exam.
● Students will have the opportunity to work with experienced educators who are
knowledgeable in helping students be successful on the ACT exam.
● ACT tutoring typically costs around $25-50 an hour. The ACT Boot Camp provides 12-15
hours of tutoring for a fraction of the cost of the standard tutoring rate.
Importance of the ACT:
● Success on the ACT can help students gain admission into college.
● The ACT can help students earn eligibility for required college courses in high school
and college. This keeps students and parents from paying for remedial courses that do
not count towards a student’s degree plan.
● Success on the ACT helps students earn scholarships, which saves money for students
and parents.
● Success on the ACT is linked to increased college readiness, retention, and degree
completion.
Other Things to Know:
● The ACT Boot Camp registration fee does NOT include the student’s registration for the
June ACT.
● Students who enroll in the ACT Boot Camp are STRONGLY encouraged to enroll to take

● The cost of the ACT is $60. Juniors and Seniors who qualify for Free and Reduced
lunch get 2 FREE ACT EXAMS PER YEAR! Please see Mrs. Hunt if you need more

● The deadline to sign up for the June ACT is Saturday, May 6th.
