The Prairie Grove Volleyball team has wrapped up an extraordinary season, achieving milestones that have made school history and showcased the talent, dedication, and spirit of its athletes. This year marked a breakthrough for the team, highlighted by becoming undefeated Conference Champions for the first time in the school's history, earning the distinction as District Runner-Ups, and reaching Regional Runner-Up status. These accomplishments culminated in the team’s third consecutive appearance at the State Tournament, solidifying their standing as one of the top teams in the state.

Historic Conference Championship

In a feat that had never before been accomplished, the Prairie Grove Volleyball team emerged as Undefeated Conference Champions, showing resilience, unity, and outstanding athletic ability. The team’s undefeated record is a testament to the hard work of the players and coaches, who dedicated countless hours to achieving their goal.

District and Regional Successes

The team’s success continued as they fought their way to become District Runner-Ups and Regional Runner-Ups, facing strong competition and displaying their skills at every stage. These placements highlight the team’s consistency and prowess throughout the season, reflecting their strategic play and unwavering determination.

State Tournament Appearance

For the third consecutive year, Prairie Grove advanced to the State Tournament. This achievement emphasizes the team’s sustained excellence and positions them as a formidable presence within state volleyball. Reaching this level three years in a row is a source of pride for the team, school, and entire Prairie Grove community, setting a new standard for future teams.

Individual Honors

In addition to the team’s success, several players received individual accolades for their outstanding performances:

  • All-State Honors were awarded to Ashtyn Burton, Emma Vertz, Ashlyn Tag, and Havyn Huber (Honorable Mention). These players demonstrated exceptional skill, leadership, and a high level of play throughout the season, earning recognition as some of the state’s top athletes.

  • All-State Tournament Team honors went to Emma Vertz for her standout performance in the State Tournament, showcasing her talent and commitment on one of the biggest stages.

  • All-Conference Honors were awarded to Ashtyn Burton, Emma Hix, Emma Vertz, Havyn Huber, Ashlyn Tag, and Avery Mann, each of whom contributed significantly to the team’s success with their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

National Recognition

Beyond the state level, Prairie Grove players also earned national acknowledgment. Ashtyn Burton, Emma Vertz, and Havyn Huber received AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Best and Brightest honors, highlighting their exceptional academic and athletic achievements on a national scale. This recognition reflects the dedication of these players both on the court and in the classroom.
