Updates on school tomorrow, February 7, 2022 and revised Covid protocols:
We will have school tomorrow with limited bus service. Our transportation department is on the roads now assessing the routes so that we can send out more details in a later message tonight.
Arkansas Public Schools received revised guidelines for COVID protocols. As of February 3, 2022, the following changes were made at PGSD: If your child (or PGSD employee) tests positive for COVID…they must stay home/isolate for at least 5 days.
They may return to school on day 6 if (1) they have no symptoms or symptoms are resolving (fever free for 24 hours without the help of medication) and (2) they wear a mask at school through the 10th day.
Parents may choose to keep COVID-positive students home from school for the full 10 days if desired.
Please still report a positive on the pgtigers website.
Probable close contacts of positive cases are no longer required to quarantine, as long as they do not develop symptoms.
Once again, the district asks all students and employees to stay home if they are sick, even if not related to Covid-19. If you have specific questions about your child’s status, please contact your child’s school.
