History Day Competition

Prairie Grove Junior High’s GT and Honors History students, led by Tracie Ashley, had a stellar showing at the State National History Day Competition on April 5th after qualifying at the regional level earlier this year. The event showcased the incredible research, creativity, and dedication of students from across the state—and Prairie Grove stood out in multiple categories.

Students who earned 1st and 2nd place in their categories have qualified to advance to the National Competition, which will take place June 8–12, 2025, at the University of Maryland. This prestigious event brings together top young historians from around the country.
