STEM Night

STEM Night at Prairie Grove Elementary School brought learning to life with a carnival-themed evening full of hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities. Hosted by GT and Enrichment teacher Mrs. Rieser, the event provided students and families with an exciting opportunity to engage in STEM learning while enjoying snacks and interactive stations.

At the K-3 level, STEM education focuses on exploration, creativity, and problem-solving. Young learners develop critical thinking skills through activities such as building structures, experimenting with simple machines, learning basic coding concepts, and exploring scientific ideas through play. Events like STEM Night allow students to collaborate, ask questions, and discover the excitement of hands-on learning in a fun and engaging environment.

Families left the event with a greater understanding of what STEM looks like for early learners and how these foundational skills help inspire future innovators.
